What does "aura" mean?  The stone is enhanced by modern alchemy.  The enhancements may make the stone have an iridescent look.  

Tourmalinated Quartz is a variety of clear quartz with black tourmaline needle-like inclusions.   These inclusions are made of sodium iron aluminum borosilicate hydroxide.  Hominids were using Tourmalinated Quartz to make tools over 2 million years ago.
